A last minute panic that was mine and mine alone - that there was no treat to leave for Santa. Of course, Santa isn’t bothered and nobody else is either but the house smells glorious, the presents are wrapped (again), we managed to rebook and see the correct version on Avatar (3D) and I fell over in the cinema with tiredness. A lovely man helped me up and said “don’t worry it’s dark, nobody saw.” Everybody saw, the kids reassured me 🤣🤣🤣. Happiest of Christmases from my family to yours. May you have rest, be harmonious and healthy and feel the joy. Much love and thanks to you all for a fantastic year 😘 xxButton

The Best Egg Salad Sandwich. When it’s all getting a bit much, it’s time to pull back, breathe and focus on healthy habits to get you through. Exercise, fresh air, sleep, veg. I find when I push through, it’s so counterproductive but I totally get that this is a hard habit to break!! A work in progress, let’s go with that 🧘♀️Button

These jars I bought a while ago get a lot of use… they are a perfect size for desserts such as these cheesecakes which look rather festive (sort of like Santas if you’ve had a few sherries). I followed the blueberry and mascarpone cheesecake recipe but swapped out to raspberries. A great make-in-advance dessert that won’t take up precious fridge space at Crimbo as you can scatter them in various nooks and crannies (they have screw top lids) 🤪🎅Button

My Mildred’s been a bit off colour this week. She is prone to a bit of abdo pain here and there and when she starts doing the downward dog, I know she’s not right. I usually have a batch of bone broth in the freezer and this is how I make it. Place your chicken carcass in the Thermomix, add some celery (usually add carrot too and if for humans, onion and peppercorns), a splash of apple cider vinegar and cover with cold water. Slow cook for 6 hours and then strain and cool to body temperature before serving. Brilliant for soothing, healing & hydrating ❤️Button
