How it’s going with the all-inclusive buffet… The food here is amazing. I generally much prefer to have control over what I’m eating on holiday, but the sheer choice and quality in our hotel is astounding and I’m here for it. The family’s plates always look different, so we can all please ourselves. Top tips: 🦐 Do the recce first - see what’s available before you grab a plate. 🍝Decide on a theme - do you really want pizza and Thai curry together? 🥦 Load half your plate with salad and veg. Keep it interesting, colourful and varied. 🐟 Choose your protein source 🫒 Keep your dressings to extra virgin olive oil & vinegar 🍉 Fruit & cheese for dessert 💧 Lots of water, the odd tipple here and there. (I’m not interested in hangxiety or headaches these days and I want decent quality sleep) 🏊‍♀️ 40 mins swimming per day, plus steps Some may think this is all very boring, but I’m 50 and I don’t care 😆 Part of my 50 things at 50 list was to prioritise health and wellbeing for myself and the family.
